Folder with layer effects exports a slight different color

Leandro 11 years ago updated by Daniel Marcos Perujo 11 years ago 2

I noticed that when you apply a color overlay to an entire folder the exported asset will have a slightly different color in regard the color you picked. Apparently, a folder with layer effects (in this case Color Overlay) exports a different color result. You can make a test just by using the same color to fill a vector shape layer within a folder that you use as Color Overlay applied to another entire folder.  Hope you got that. :-D

You know that in order to export assets you CAN NOT use blend modes. Any blend mode depends on the layers behind it. Any color transparency will be converted to the original color, so be careful with shadows, glows and that kind of effects too.

Hi Daniel. Thanks for you rapid feedback. Actually I didn't blend layers whatsoever, only applied a color using Color Overlay, 100% opacity, Normal overlay to the folder and the result was a bit different color. But, it's ok, I then changed the vector shape colors one by one and the plugin export them nicely. Just want to let you know about that. Thanks again.

Thanks Leandro, I will check it anyways.
